MB十八番（オハコ）小フレーズ集その１

This is a collection usually used at MB solo.
Even if we hear unknown sax solo at the street, these phrases make us recognize "Oh, it is MB !!"
They are played on key of Eb or Ab (F or Bb on Bb key) -- typical key on woodwind instruments.
On studio recording solo, I guess, MB creates beautiful and unique phrase specialized for the tune.
On the other hand, at the live stage, MB often uses these kind of phrases -- MB pattern.
If a solist always plays similar phrases, the audience would say "Enough ! ".
However, in case of MB, this catches on them. Why ??
--- Because, MB play is extraordinal.
His high speed and powerful performance stimulates all the audience there.

ソロでよく出るフレーズ集。特にライブなどでは必ずといってよいほど聞かれるフレーズです。
聴いたことのない音源でも、「あ、これMBだ」と納得のフレーズ、短いフレーズを集めました。
管楽器関係で良く使われるEbかAb（BbではFかBb）でのソロ用です。他のキーのソロで、これらのフレーズを移調して使うことはあまりありません。
MBのスタジオでのソロは前もって構成を練っているのでしょう、独創的な美しいメロディで構成される場合が多いと思います。
一方、ライブでのソロではさすがにパターン化されたフレーズを出すことが多くなります。
並のプレイヤーであれば「またかよ」ということになりますが、MBが演奏するとステージ受けします。
なぜでしょうか？
MBの奏法は高速かつ、パワフルなことで最高級。
ステージ上で尋常ではない演奏が行われていることがオーディエンスを刺激するのでしょう。

It requires a stable bend up technique.

まずはつかみ部分などでよく出るフレーズ。
Delta City Bluesはまさにこれで始まってます。
安定したベンドダウンができるように練習が必要です。

息の長いフレーズの中で使われる特徴的なフレーズです。
Sygyzyのイントロの途中でも出てきます。

これもオルタネートを使ったフレーズの一例ですが、一番よく出るフレーズではないでしょうか？
MBのパターンを練習するときは真っ先に練習するフレーズではないでしょうか。

A very difficult because of the high speed and of the altissimo G (A on Bb key)
We can find at the solo in "Song For Bilbao"

80年代後半から良く聞かれたフレーズです。
高速でフラジオのG (Bb.ではA)までジャンプする難関フレーズ
Song For Bilbaoのソロなどにも入っていますね。

This is also an altissiomo jumping phrase.
In general, this is played around the climax in a solo.

これもフラジオに上るキメフレーズです。
おおむねソロのクライマックス付近で出てくる傾向です。
