This is about High-F fingering.
As you know, there are 2 usual fingerings. One is that with parm keys.(Fig-
1) . And another is that with front-F key (Fig-2)
How about MB ?
Let us check in YouTube.
I checked in theme part of "My One And Only Love" '(Newport 1987)
.
Fig-3 is a transcription. In high-F of 3rd bar, MB uses parn keys (As I
see). (Fig-4)
To play this beautiful ballad, MB also uses Hifh-F with front key. For
example, at the same part of an other "My One And...", we can
see MB uses front key.(Fig-5)
Also, "My One And..." in the album "Michael Brecker",
I believe MB uses front-F at some high-F.
Maybe MB uses 2 fingering for making change of the tone color.
What I want to know is next. "How about high-F in high speed phrase ?"
C-F-Bb-Eb ( Bb-Eb-Ab-Db in concert tune) such as Fig-6 is the phrase MB
often uses.
Let's check the fingering.
Judge from first finger position of left hand, F is made by parm key form
(Fig-1). Never by front-F.
This sequence is not easy, however, MB plays EASILY because he is MB !!
By the way, 3rd note Bb (Ab on C score) is seemed to made by Fig-8, not
by bis-Key fingering.
"How MB makes Bb ? " is my big interest. I will check it someday.
